Watched this documentary twice because it was so inspiring and well made. Really showing what backpacking can be. Can't wait to travel to Bangkok in october to do the same. Thank you for this documentary and so sorry for your friend.

From the beginning of the video I could sense that Nate was really trying to find his place in this beautiful world... he said he had no clue what to do when he gets home because he had so many ideas just because of backpacking and being open-minded... he just needed more time I think... I am 22 and been doing good as per my age (I run an Influencer Marketing Agency) IDK if travelling will solve my problems or if it's a good choice but IDK why I feel like an escape from reality whenever i travel it's been around 2 months I've paused almost everything in our company and majority team members are not working anymore so I can focus on my mental health and TBH things are getting worse day by day from a month i am researching flights, hotels to see if i can solo travel anywhere i want to do multiple countries but my Therapist is suggesting i should go for a tour in just UAE as there are a lot of business opportunities for me as it's the best place i can travel and if I'll travel other countries I'll not gain anything from there and it'll be waste of money and he's saying i should travel SE Asia some other time but not now... as this will be my first international trip but I am looking for a route like this UAE - Thailand- Cambodia - Laos- Vietnam or Philippines (that's cost a lot TBH but idk why i am feeling like to give it a shot....................... like for a month or two or more?? but at the same time i am concerned about all the costs ( i am open for backpacking i am open for couchsurfing) IDK if I'll even travel but Leaving this comment with a hope if someone will like this after a few years i can share my story)

Im about to leave canada in a few weeks to backpack through se asia and Ive been terrified as it will be my first time outside of north america. This film is changing that. After watching youtube videos for weeks searching for one that would give a real feel for the experience of backpacking, this is the one I've been looking for! This made me cry, great film, thanks for creating it and sharing it with the world.

Thank you for this video, it has brought back so many memories of backpacking South East Asia and South America in my 20s and 30s. I have always said that traveling is the best money I have every spent in my life! It truly changes you right to your core. You did such an incredible job of telling our story. I miss traveling and will return to Thailand.....Greatest place I've been to.

Man, impressive. I admit I started seeing it with prejudices, "another typical backpacker doc", but it quickly immersed me into the stories. Most importantly, it made me remember and feel my 4 months solo backpacking trip between 2018 and 2019, visiting some of those countries you filmed. Thanks for this material!

This really makes me feel like looking out of the window, nackered, yet full of energy, on a long trainride somwhere in asia at sunrise. Maybe because of the docu, idk. But it makes me daydream and gives me a wonderful feeling.

I am finally going to Thailand in a month, after daydreaming for 7 years. Bit late, I know. But I guess you're never too late as long as you're alive. I'm only 25 still, no stress. I'm planning a solo trip for next year, which I've also been thinking about for 5 years already. I am not even scared to go solo backpacking anymore, but I'm sure that'll change once the time comes, haha. PS: I just had to watch this one again, before I leave for Thailand. Only 36 days left😊

What a great experience, and a beautiful story. I am also dutch and during college I've had the opportunity to stay in both the US and China for a year, it enriched my mind so much that I cannot get away from that feeling. Currently I work in a corporate environment as a salesmanager but recently everything in me is itching to pack my bags and leave. Aside from working 40 hours, I became a freelancer in my spare time and have my sources of income set up from doing this. I'll leave early next year. The value of living abroad, experiencing amazing things, is worth more than anything I own where I live currently. There is no time like the present.

i am backpacking right now and this evening i was sitting in my yurt, outside thunderstorms and rain so that the yurt got wet everywhere. it was on top of a day, where i wasn't feeling too good, kind of this unsureness that you have sometimes while backpacking alone as a young woman. then I reminded myself of some nice words of a friend I met during traveling.. I searched for a documentary or something about backpacking and I could relate to many things you said :) in the end though this film made my evening and gave me back my spirit so thanks for that!:)

Im watching this for the third time now.. and it keeps making me more and more excited to go do the same..

These trips can be confusing , frustrating , rewarding, irritating , motivating ,scary , adventurous, and calming at same time . That's why backpacking trips are journey of lifetime as it makes u more aware of ur emotions , weakness , strength, fears , etc etc . And at the end of these trips u become a person that u never knew . And ur self esteem and confidence level reaches on another level .

As an Indian, I laughed out loud when I heard India being described like the final boss level of backpacking 😂. Sometimes I forget how chaotic and different India can be to foreigners. Seeing the culture I see every day in a backpacking video feels strange, almost funny actually. The things so normal to me is “exotic” or different to foreigners! Haha, great video man. I liked seeing the south East Asia cultures. It was interesting.
